We obtained conditional planning approval late in December 2011 for an office/flats conversion within our late Victorian property in St.Albans, submitted on basic drawings only. The application to that point had been slow, and subject to unnecessary architectural delays, resulting in the project being 3 months behind schedule, and needing to be put back on time.

We turned to Kingswood Design for the critical detailed plans and building regulation approval stage, seeking a professional design service with the skills set in conversion work that we needed. We have not been disappointed.

From the outset Kevin Todd gave us excellent service, commencing with fast full plans design and specification being provided, thus helping to pull the project back onto schedule. He handled all planning paperwork, seeing it through to condition satisfaction and full plans building regulation approval. This work was technically challenging due to the building age, the current building regulations, and mixed building use.

Our project started on time using the plans and design specification, and has now been successfully completed. One major and potentially costly problem arose while work was in progress. However Kevin was able, using his technical expertise, intimate knowledge of regulations, and contacts within the industry, to resolve the problem. It clearly demonstrated to us the value of the ongoing background support provided by Kingswood on their projects.
